Start your day on the spacious terrace, drinking in breath-taking views of the lake while sipping your morning coffee. Whip up breakfast in the elegant stone-tiled kitchen then plan how to spend your day. We could easily spend hours in the rooftop pool, lazily floating in the sunshine with a backdrop of exquisite scenery.

After you’ve dried off in the sun, head into the historic centre of Padenghe and enjoy lunch in a trattoria. Wander the streets with a gelato, or call into cafes for coffee and watch the world go by - there’s no need to rush, you are in Italy after all. The jewel in Padenghe’s crown is undoubtedly the castle, a medieval fort, just five-minute walk away; whether you’re a history buff or you’re just in it for the views of lake Garda, it’s well worth strolling up the hill to explore. Further afield, beautiful Sirmione can be with a short distance by car. And, if you’re a golfer then you’re in luck - two of the most popular courses are within a six-kilometre drive of the house (Arzaga Golf Club & Garda Golf Countryclub).

However you spend your stay, make sure you spend at least one evening on the terrace with a glass of something local, watching the sun set slowly over the lake. If you’re anything like us, you’d kick yourself for missing it.
